Planned surgeries are usually performed following an earlier appointment on a date of the operation.
Planned surgical operations are performed in case of post-traumatic reconstruction in order to improve functioning of a limb after the first surgical operation, e.g. performing dermatoplasty in case of scars limiting motor functioning of the hand and in treatment of other diseases of an upper limb, e.g. Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), Snap finger, Dupuytren's contracture, Triangular Fibro-Cartilage Complex TFCC - you can find more diseases HERE
A Patient arrives at the centre, where the operation is to be performed on the day and the hour arranged with his or her surgeon (there are different customs in different surgery centres). The patient should have a referral, current medical test results and required consultation certificates from other consultants concerning lack of contraindications for the operation to be performed.
